Our adults-only gîte in the village of Mialet, tucked away in the Périgord Vert. With exclusive guest access to an on-site private gym and the only vintage fashion museum at a French gîte, everything here is designed for a relaxing, grown-up getaway. Outside, your private patio, garden and pool are exclusively yours throughout your stay. And with no light pollution, the night skies are spectacular — perfect for stargazing from the garden, with nothing to disturb the peace but birdsong and the occasional passing tractor. Lounge/kitchen Diner
With original stone walls and exposed timber beams, this space feels authentically French from the moment you walk in — and naturally cool throughout the summer. Two corner sofas make the lounge a comfortable place to settle in, while the kitchen and dining area flow together in a way that encourages you to slow down, cook something good, and live like a local.
The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from a lazy breakfast to a proper dinner for four, with no hunting around for a missing pan.

Entertainment
When the sun goes down, many of our guests find themselves out on the patio with a glass of wine and a board game — there are few better ways to spend a warm French evening. As dusk settles, keep an eye out for the bats, the Little Owl — who, despite his name, keeps surprisingly sociable hours — and if you're very lucky, the odd firefly flickering through the garden. When you're ready to head indoors, Netflix, British TV channels, and a DVD library are all waiting, along with a selection of reference books on the region — local history, wildlife, cheese and more, including a fascinating read on Richard the Lionheart — and a growing collection of paperbacks left behind by previous guests, free for you to choose from.

Bathroom
A spacious ground-floor bathroom with a walk-in power shower that is very easy to use, double vanity units with plenty of storage, and an electric point between them for small appliances. Off the bathroom, a separate laundry room keeps practicalities neatly out of the way.

Bedrooms
Both bedrooms are thoughtfully designed, calm and uncluttered spaces created for sleeping well and waking slowly. Each is located on either side of the stairs on the upper level, dressed with care and beautifully quiet — just what you need after a day exploring the Dordogne.

Your private pool & garden
Step outside, and it's all yours — the patio, the garden and the pool, exclusively for guests of Beaux Souvenirs throughout your stay. The 12m x 6m in-ground pool is cleaned daily by William, and the surrounding garden is the sort of place where you sit down with a coffee, and somehow it's lunchtime. Fragrant herbs grow alongside the patio, there's a secret garden to discover, and plenty of shaded spots for when the sun is at its height.

On-site gym
Housed in the barn at the heart of our 150-year-old stone building, this private gym is available exclusively to guests of Beaux Souvenirs throughout your stay — no booking required, no sharing, no fixed hours. Early morning or last thing at night, it's entirely yours. We simply ask that guests have some prior gym experience - have a quick chat with us on arrival, and we'll get you set up. Use of the gym is at guests' own risk.
